Doll of Maleficent from Disney’s Sleeping Beauty

I made this for a friend’s birthday. As I was absolutely terrified of Maleficent as a child (and still am a bit!), knitting the Mistress of All Evil was something of a cathartic experience! Though I’m still scared of her.

Finishing

For the staff with orb I broke an old bronze coloured knitting needle in half, and stuck it into a tiny ball of shiny white yarn (which I had fixed by threading the end through with a sharp needle)

Embroider on the facial features as illustrated.
